What is a dental implant?
A dental implant is an artificial titanium root that is placed in the alveolar bone of the maxilla or mandible, integrating completely with the tissues of the mouth. This advance is a fundamental part of implantology and oral surgery, allowing the restoration of dental functionality and aesthetics with a high level of effectiveness.
It serves as a base to support a crown or prosthesis, replacing missing or damaged teeth. A dental implant consists of three main elements:
The dental implant attached to the bone.
The transepithelial pillar, which emerges from the gingiva and serves as a connector.
The crown or prosthesis, which covers the abutment and remains visible.
This system represents the fixed, definitive and most innovative option for replacing teeth for life.
“Implantology and oral surgery not only restore the smile, but also the confidence and quality of life of those who choose it.”
“A dental implant is much more than an aesthetic solution: it is technology at the service of oral health.”
RBG-CLINIC's experience in implantology and oral surgery.
RBG-CLINIC is one of the pioneering centres in the world, and certainly in Spain (since 1984), in the use of implantology and oral surgery techniques. Thanks to our experience, we have achieved excellent results with a high percentage of success, offering a safe and effective medical-surgical treatment.
In 1997, thirteen years later, we introduced the immediate loading technique. This approach allows the patient, provided they meet the appropriate clinical requirements, to leave with a temporary prosthesis placed in the same session as the surgery. Thus, the patient does not spend a single day with empty spaces where the teeth should be.
How do we perform the procedure at RBG-CLINIC?
At RBG-CLINIC we are specialists in dental implants in Cadiz. Our team performs a complete evaluation, which includes:
- Detailed clinical examination.
- Radiological study of the state of the alveolar bone.
- Digital models of the mouth using CAD/CAM technology, allowing the treatment to be simulated before starting.
If implants are the best option, the treatment will be explained and planned individually. The surgery is performed on an outpatient basis with local anesthesia, also offering the option of conscious sedation for greater patient comfort.
