What is endodontics?
Endodontics is a specialty of dentistry that deals with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the dental pulp. The pulp is a tissue located inside the teeth that provides nutrition and sensitivity, allowing the tooth to perceive external stimuli.
When this pulp is damaged or inflamed, either due to deep cavities, trauma or infections, endodontics can save the tooth by removing the affected tissue and then sealing it, preserving the functionality and aesthetics of the tooth.
“A root canal treatment not only saves your teeth, but also takes care of your long-term oral health.”
Technological advances: Microscopic endodontics
The introduction of the operating microscope in the field of dentistry has meant an unprecedented advance. This instrument allows working with millimetric precision, increasing the effectiveness and safety of treatments. Thanks to microscopic endodontics, the following can be achieved:
- Extremely accurate results.
- Faster and safer procedures.
- Better preservation of dental structure.
“Thanks to microscopic endodontics, we achieve more precise, safe and effective treatments.”
