
A recognition of 17 years of commitment
The past November 15th, he Jerez Botanical Zoo presented a commemorative plaque to Dr. Francisco Rabago in recognition of his long history of collaborating in the well-being and conservation of species.
Since 2006, Dr. Rábago has performed pioneering interventions on emblematic animals such as the Iberian lynx, bald ibis, and mandrills, applying advanced dental techniques adapted to the animal world.
An emotional and meaningful act
The event was chaired by Jaime Espinar, Deputy Mayor for Environment and Animal Protection, who highlighted the doctor's dedication and altruistic work over the past 17 years.
During the event, a plaque was unveiled commemorates the sponsorship of mandrills by Dr. Rábago.
"Of all the awards I've received, this is the one I'm most excited about. The Zoo is like my second home. Whenever they call me, I go without hesitation."
Dr. Rábago also praised the Zoo's mission as space for animal welfare, species conservation and environmental education, values that he fully shares.
